PSC# 05.19.22 – BPM031339 – SB528 GAS & ELECTRIC SYSTEM PLANNING STUDY
To support a Gas & Electric System Planning Study for a Managed Transition to Electrification, as required by Senate Bill 528, the Commission is seeking an experienced consultant that has the expertise in the energy delivery industry to support Maryland’s electrification policy goals to achieve greenhouse gas targets.
In particular, this engagement will require the ability to coordinate with gas and electric utilities, Staff and other stakeholders to develop study requirements and assumptions, frame a study deliverables work-plan, evaluate gas and electric system impacts and solutions, and provide recommendations for in-scope utilities to successfully serve customers under a managed transition to a highly electrified building sector between 2021 and 2031.
